Leeds is perfect for bargain hunting with two huge markets. The main one is Leeds City Market located on Vicar Lane; it is made of several halls that were constructed at various times over the last hundred years. This is the largest covered market in Europe and is full of great bargains and unique items. Michael Marks started his Penny Bazaar near to here, which later became the world-famous Marks and Spencer.



There are also frequent Sunday Farmers Markets on Briggate and an impressive Christmas Market in Millennium Square which is great for buying all of your Christmas gifts.
