Your Guide to Mallorca Beaches

Mallorca is the largest island in the Balearic Islands, an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain. This beautiful destination is known for its white sand beaches and crystal clear water.

* Calas de Mallorca



This area is located on the south east side of the island and it contains a resort with a very family-oriented feel. The beaches in Calas de Mallorca are built around three different coves, Cala Domingos Grans, (the largest of the three) Cala Antena , and Cala Domingos Petits. All three of these beautiful beaches have fine sand and clear, turquoise water. They are very child-friendly and great for swimming. There is a beach bar at each location, where you can grab a drink and relax on a sun lounger. There are also good snorkelling conditions on these three beaches.



* Cala Murada



Also located on the south-east coast, this beach is tucked into a little over with some very beautiful low cliffs where houses are perched overlooking the water. This beach is very clean and has been awarded the European Blue Flag, signifying that the water quality is very good for swimming. However, beware that the water here is not shallow and so small children should not swim without an adult.



* S’Amarador



This gorgeous beach was voted as "Best Beach in Europe" by onbeach.com in 2008. It is very unspoilt and naturally beautiful, with a surrounding of pine tree forest. There are no water sports facilities, as this is a quiet and peaceful natural beach. The shallow water and fine white sand makes it perfect for children to swim.
